10 tips for Voice Actors When Dubbing From Home:
- Choose the quietest room in your home. Don’t forget to check outdoor and indoor noises.
- Close all the doors and windows
- Move computer fan/external drives and other noise-making electronic as far as possible from the microphone
- Turn off all the noisy equipment in the house. For example A/C units, washing machines, and dishwashers
- Do not stay too close to the walls, avoid corners and reflective surface
- Start with a 15-20cm distance between the microphone and the mouth
- If standing — avoid squeaky floorboards
- If seated — avoid moving your chair and cover desk with a blanket

- Sit or stand 1.5m in front of a filled bookcase — it provides nice sound dispersion
